Please read README file provided by MS. It needs number of parameters in
setup.exe file
To install a named intance you need something like that
C:\yourpath\setup.exe INSTANCENAME="MSDE"

Hi All
I am getting a wierd problem. When i try to install MSDE or SQL
SERVER 2000 Sp 3a, i get the error message "The instance name
specified is invalid". On the server i have installed SQL Server 2000.
I am really confuse and i have searched a lot on the net. Kindly
provide me with a solution as its urgent, i will be highly grateful.
