Try C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Setup Bootstrap\LOG. There
are a whole of log files there.
When I try to install nothing but the management tools, what I get is
"There was an unexpected failure during the setup wizard. You may review
the setup logs and/or click the help button for more information."
That sounds like a more likely error with the client-tools setup, although
it's not very helpful. :-(
