Server registration

I am having problems registering an SQL2000 server.

I am trying to use windows authentication, as my PC is registered onto a
domain. I have a domain account created on the SQL server, but the error I
get "Logon failed for user('null') suggest something is wrong with the
"Windows Authentication" on my pc.

How can I get it to pass my local user id?
