Re: Saving passwords in Management Studio

I too am having this problem. Every time I connect to a server, open
a query, or create a new query, I am prompted for my username and
password, and every time I select the remember password checkbox. Why
is it that I have to type it in each time?

I have discovered that if I select the database server that I want to
connect to from the drop down list, even if it is already selected,
that my username and password will sometimes get populated. If it
knows my password, why does it not just populate it when the login
window opens?

I am running SP2.

Hi there,
can anyone tell me why that every time I use SQL Server
Management Studio I get presented with a login dialog with the password
blanked out. Every time I login, I click the Save Password checkbox to no
avail.
