Yes , you are going to restart the service after changing the password

Hello,
We have several SQL 2000 servers running on Windows 2000 and Windows
2003 with the same AD account. We have been requested to change the AD
account password.
We were planning on changing the AD account password and then going to
each server and changing the SQL Service and SQL Agent service password
using
Enterprise Manager. Do we need to restart SQL Server after we change the
password. Will it stop running at some point if the account it is running
under has a different password then the AD password. Or does it not
matter
and it only takes the password into affect when you restart the services.
This is important because I need to know if we need to let the users we
will
have a down time since we may have to restart the services after password
change. In either case, can anyone point me to some documenation so that
I
can use that.
Thanks,
Bill
