They are two different applications and neither is directly
dependant on the other.

Note that you contradict yourself later in this message. The reason I say
that MSMQ and MSMQTriggers are dependent on MSDTC is because the message
from the SQL Server Service Manager says so.

The term MSMQ Triggers seems to be misleading you to believe that means
there are triggers in SQL Serve which is not the case.

distributed transactions. But as Roger pointed out this is not dependant
on SQL Server or MSMQ.

Huh? I don't understand how that is relevant. Are you saying that SQL Server
is not dependent on SQL Server? I of course understand that MSDTC is not
dependent on SQL Server; I don't know what I said to indicate I don't. As
for whether SQL Server is dependent on MSMQ, see below.

All your message is doing is warning you that if you use SQL Server to
shut down the MSDTC service it can affect other services that depend on
MSDTC, in this case MSMQ.

What message? I did not say anything about a message from me.

As for the SQL Server Service Manager message, I mainly want to know if the
message from the SQL Server Service Manager is normal. You could answer that
question much faster than it took to post the many criticisms. In other
words, you are more concerned with criticising than answering the question.

So in a nutshell your assumption of:
Are MSMQ and MSMQTriggers installed with SQL Server? I assume so.

is false.

So is it normal to get the message I am getting from the SQL Server Service
Manager? The message implies that MSMQ and MSMQTriggers are installed and
if they are installed then it is reasonable to assume that SQL Server
installed them. If that assumption is incorrect, then say so. Yet the way
you say it is incorrect is in a manner that emphasizes your criticisms.

If it is normal for the SQL Server Service Manager to issue the message
about MSMQ and MSMQTriggers even if they are not installed, then that is
what is helpful and relevant. It would be easier to say that than to say all
the criticisms.
