Is this user using Windows authentication and if so is the user and
Administrator on the box? If so, deny won't work.

using Sql Server 2005 Express
I have created a new user and added them to the db_datareader role.
This gives the user access to SELECT from my tables. As a test, I wanted
to deny them access to a certain table, so I went into the
properties->permissions for the table and checked the 'Deny' option on the
'SELECT' option in the 'Explicit permissions for <username>'
The user is still allowed to perform a SELECT on the table. What am I
missing? I haven't ever modified permissions before, all my apps before
were for 1 user.
Thanks for reading,
Steve
