I want to disable connection to a sql server (2000 sp3) from all but the loopback address (127.0.0.1). I have disabled all network protos namely TCP/IP and Named Pipes, but still can connect remotely to this sql server. I want only local machine access, this box is running Sharepoint in a DMZ.
The startup log for this server reads:
SQL Server listening on 127.0.0.1 1433
SQL Server listening on <ext. IP> 1433
