You shouldn't have to add it - it will install by default.
In Administrative Tools - > Services, do you see a service
named SQLSERVERAGENT
That would be the name of the service you need to start and
the service that needs to be running.
You can also find it in Enterprise Manager under Management
and then go to SQL Server Agent.
