I'm running SQL server 2000 on my laptop running win server 2003 ent.
edition.
I'm configuring dotnet Text on this (blog), for release on my live DB
server.
I'm running into an issue. I'm trying to set my Server Authentication mode
to SQL Server And windows, instead of just windows.
I make the change, click OK, and stop/start the server. The change doesn't
hold. So I make the change again, click ok, then go right into properties
and see that the change didn't take effect.
Am I missing a step in this process?
Right Click on the server - Properties
Security Tab - Security Frame
Authentication : SQL Server and Windows.
Click Ok.
Those are the steps.
Do I need to change anything for this to work? Is the platform I'm running
it on conflicting with it in any way? I'm no wiz on 2003, but on 2000 this
works fine.
Any help would be appreciated.
