I have an instance of SQL Server 2000 that is using only NT domain security.
It is configured to audit success and failure. [It never records a login
failure in the SQL server or application event log, I assume this is because
the login fails at Windows and never reaches SQL Server.]
Enterprise Manager help says "Log records for these events appear in the
Microsoft Windows application log, the SQL Server error log, or both,
depending on how you configure logging for the instance of SQL Server. " I
would like for these events to be logged only to the MSSQL Error Log and not
to the NT Event log. Is it actually possible to do this? How?
