    Hi Russell,

My server is standalone and the administrator that runs sql server logs
on locally to that server, even though it can see and access the
network and domain that hosts the linked server. That local
administrator is also registered as a domain account. The remote login
that I use for the linked server is not part of the domain and specific
    to that linked server.

Do you think that is the problem then ? What I can't figure out is why
I am able to run a distributed query on the tables of that linked
server but not the views when I have the same rights ?
    Thanks for your time.

    Loic
