Simple, you cannot install SQL Server Enterprise Edition on Windows XP. If
Windows XP is to remain your OS, you can install the Evaluation, Developer,
or Personal Editions, or MSDE. You can get the list of which edition is
supported on which OS at
http://www.microsoft.com/sql/evaluation/sysreqs/2000/default.asp.
