Hi Boon,
We use c2 audit mode option to review both successful and unsuccessful
attempts to access statements and objects instead of the whole process of
whatever operation had been done on SQL Server. With this c2 audit log
information, you can document system activity and look for security policy
violations.
Based on my scope, SQL Server has no such kind of funcationality to provide
a "flight recorder" log, however, some third party tools, such as Log
Explorer for SQL Server (http://www.lumigent.com/) might realized it.
Thank you for your patience and corperation. If you have any questions or
concerns, don't hesitate to let me know. We are here to be of assistance!
Sincerely yours,
Mingqing Cheng
