Hello

I am in the process of securizing several SQL2000 DB servers within a
computer farm. Each machine within the farm operate as a stand-alone
server (no domain, no workgroup, no ressources sharing, no netbios, no
nothing)

In my understanding, the connection to a SQL2000 server can be done by
using a Windows account or a SQL account. Starting from there, I have
2 questions

1. Since my machines are not part of the same network, is it possible
for a machine X to connect to a machine Y by using a Windows account,
like X\the_username?

2. If I want to use SQL logins only, how can I rename the sa login?

thanks
BTG
