How are they seeing them? Through Enterprise Manager or through Query
Analyzer?
If I remember correctly, Enterprise Manager shows all databases, even those
to which you do not have rights. They will need to be able to connect to
the SQL Server, of course, even if only to the master database. No special
rights are needed.
Through Query Analyzer you can execute "sp_helpdb" which also offers status
information on the databases. Again, no special rights are needed. Check
out sp_helpdb in the BOL
