When implementing security on SQL2000 as NSA and others suggest
(specifically assigning the logon of the SQL service to a local,
non-administrative account) I get the Event ID19011 SpnRegister error. I
understand why I am getting it and the need for the service account to be
configured as it is. My question is, is this something that may hinder
connection to the DB itself or in any other way affect other aspects of
DB/SQL server performance? Is it required to manually produce the Spn in the
AD? Is it okay to ignore the Event?
Thanks
