A couple of thoughts.

What mode is the Server in? Windows Authentication and SQL Authentication
or Windows Authentication only?
What is the value of LoginMode under:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\MSSQLServer\MSSQLServer

What is in the input script you're passing?
