SQLServer 2000 Backup to Local CD

I want to backup a database to a CD Burner on the same machine, but I cannot get the "Select Backup Destination" dialog to recognise anything that is not a harddisk.
Can anybody help please.
I realise this is probably a bit basic for this site but what the heck, if you need help go to the top. A pointer to a web page that describes the process would be enough if a full answer is to much hassle.
I am using Windows XP, SQLServer 2000
