I have a stand alone laptop with 2 instances of SQL Server on it.

1) 8.00.818
2) 8.00.194

I create a new SQL account using EM, I park it in pubs, I assign a password.
Everything works.

Then try to park it in a role dbo, ddladmin, etc. Each time I do this I get
a confirmation for a new password.

If I enter the recently assigned password it tells me the password is
incorrect. If I try a blank password, same problem. It I try to assign it a
new password it tells me the password is incorrect.

My laptop is win2k, sp3.

Am I missing something?

This works as expected on a Win2003 server.
