recovery of SQL Server 2000 replication database

I'm trying to redirect a restore of 2 SQL Server 2K
replication databases using Tivoli's SQL Server client.
Has anyone attempted this before? The restore errors
telling me the source path may be incorrect (which it is
not incorrect).

I know I can copy these databases and reattach them
elsewhere, but that does not effective test the recovery
process.

Can any one help?
