SQL Server ISSUE.
I ran into an issue at work where:
If I try to give a user access to a different database, a
popup box appears telling me to confirm a new password.
Since I don't want to give the user a new password I have
to cancel.
The way I go around this, is by going to the database I
want the user to be added to and select him from the list
of add new users to database, then I select...for example
if he/she should be dbo. Going to the database and adding
him from there works.
But what happens if I have (for testing purposes) 10
db's. Why should I have to go to each DB and add him
separately to each. I should be able to FROM SECURITY add
him to multiple DB's
Note://this is done with STANDARD EDITION OF SQL SERVER
2000

The other group in our same agency has SQL Server
Enterprise Edition. They do not have the same problem as
I do. They can add a user any which way they can with out
any problems

So this leads me to believe that it's the version of SQL
2000 that I purchased where the problem lies.

Reason I bought Standard - budget only allowed this one.

If you can please help.

Thank you ahead of time.
