The only other way I know of is through the registry -
change the LoginMode value in
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\MSSqlserver\MSSqlServer\
-or-
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\Instance
Name\MSSQLServer\
Change it to 2 on SQL 2000. Change it to 0 for SQL 7.
