Error applying security patch MS03-031 on Sql Server 7 server

    Hi,

    I do have Sql server 7 with sp4 along with Q316333

    @@version shows version as 7.0.1077

    When I try to install the MS03-031 security patch the
    hotfix installer fails with the following error message.

    "Instance MSSQLSERVER does not meet the requirements for
    this HotFix or there is no such instance installed on this
    computer"

    "HotFix Installer did not find any installation or
    instance of SQL that qualifies for this hotfix"
    INSTALL SUCCESS: HotFix has applied the patches to
    Client/Tools only components
    After applying the patch the Sql version still shows up as
    7.0.1077 instead of 7.0.1094.
