Hi Gary,

It is a wired problem. For your description, I am not sure it is a problem
with SQL Server. I would like you try to call the Excel library in VBA
environment in Microsoft Access or Word to check to see if the error occurs
so that we can narrow down this issue. If we can call Excel library in the
VBA environment in Microsoft Access successfully, it seems the error is
related to SQL Server. Otherwise, the problem seems related to Excel or
COM.

I also would like to how the error occurs. Could you describe error in
detail? If it is possible, could you post the related error code?

Also, such issues tend to be complex and take up extensive research time.
I'd like to set your expectations that it may take a while for us to help
you narrow down the problem and we may eventually redirect you to PSS to
continue working with a dedicated Support Professional especially if this
is a problem on the Excel or COM side. If this is critical, I'd recommend
contacting PSS and opening a Support incident troubleshoot this further. If
you need any help in this regard, please let me know.

I am standing by for your response.

Thanks

Michael Shao
