terminating the RPC service

Whitin a few minutes of logging on to the interenet I get
this message. "This system is shuting down save all work
in progress and log off. Windows must shut down because
the Remote Procedure Call was terminated unexpextdedly.
Initiated by NT Authority\System" Please Help me I can't
find anything in the Knowledge base. Iam a basic comp.
