Login failed for user

    I have a SQL 2000 server and use W2K IIS server. I have
    created a local account on both machines to gain access
    to the SQL database and have placed sed user name and
    password in my asp code.

    Sometimes my connection works fine other times I get the
    following error message:

    Error Type:
    Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server (0x80004005)
    Login failed for user 'sql2000'. Reason: Not associated
    with a trusted SQL Server connection.

    If I click "Refresh" after receiving the error I can view
    the page and add, delete, and update records in the
    database. Sometimes the error appears right away
    othertimes I need to send 5 or 6 requests to the database
    before the error appears.

    what am I missing?
