odd sounds: dog bark; door opening or slaming

This is a common problem. The best solution is to
uninstall Oracle and install SQL Server 2000. You may
have to reboot several times and possibly slick the
machine before you install SQL Server.

After you have SQL Server 2000 installed silly errors like
these will go away.
