After installing the hotfix on sql server 2000 sp3/windows
2000 and NT 4.0 there is a problem when altering a
standard ID login under security. once you go to database
access and make the necessary changes and click ok it
requests a password confirmation, retype your password
and it returns a message that "Confirmation password is
not correct." This error resurfaced even after a reboot.
The current work-around: to change the user role, return
to the General tab and retype the correct password and
then confirm.
How can this be resolved?
