Hello Steven,

Thank you for your posting. As per your question, after you have
successfully created the plan, in the SQL Server Enterprise Manager
Management folder for the monitor server, the Log Shipping Monitor appears.

I suggest that you refer to the following article for details of log
shipping setup:

SQL Server 2000 How To Setup Log Shipping
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&familyid=7395

Also, I have included the following article for more related information:

ol/sql/deploy/prodspecs/logship1.asp

If you have further questions on the issue, please feel free to post back.

Thanks & Regards,

| I want to implement log shipping for a customer. The
| first step seems to be to set up hourly transaction log
| backups on the primary server. This currently is set to
| occur, via a maintenence plan, daily at midnight. Can I
| just go in to the maintenence plans properties and set
| this to occur on an hourly basis and expect to have these
| transaction log backup files available for the "Copy Job"
| on the secondary server? Or do I need to set up the
| transaction logs in some other fashion?
|
| Thanks
