Hi John. Well I tried it last night. I ran into problems. I think the
problem was partly down to the fact the the server it was put on cannot see
the internet (by design ..it is a virtual server).
Firstly I expanded the files to a new directory under the web root (think it
was call sql_tool). When I browsed it the default.asp page was correctly
loading from web server but saying that I needed IE 5.5 or higher and flash
...I stuck 6.0 SP1 on. Unfortunately when I now browsed this directory it
was giving the cannot be found errors (which is why I think it was trying to
connect the internet...probably because of the eval registration).
I did not have time to mess around getting my machine internet connectivity
so I thought I would try a work around. I browsed the server.asp page (which
half loaded) and registered my local server, but that was really all that
then worked. I guess I really need to try with internet connectivity, but
personally speaking I would have thought that it really shouldnt be
necessary (for instance I might only want to use the web admin tool
internally and block on firewall).
Not seen the PHPMyAdmin but I can imagine what you want.
