I see the error below appears many times in Google, but the error inn those
cases always comes up. In my case, I have 100's of jobs across 3 sites and 4
servers and have two jobs that complete normally 98% of the time. The other
2 percent tosses the following error (from the same server):.

"The job failed. Unable to determine if the owner ([domain]\[UserID]) of
job cap_network_load has server access (reason: Could not obtain information
about Windows NT group/user '[Domain]\[UserID]'. [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error

8198).

Env: 2000 migrated domain from NT4. all 2000 machines sp2, w/ SQL at sp2.
DC's at all sites.

The only thing different on this machine is that I'm trying to get Kerberos
running in SQL by using SETSPN from the 2000 resource kit.

I'm looking for troubleshooting resources.
Thanks
