Hi,
I have created a system DSN specifying SQL Server Authentication.
The front end of the database is in MSAccess 97. When I try to open the
front end I get the following error..
Connection Failed: SQL State: '28000', SQL Server Error: 18456,
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Login Failed for user
(user name).
I then proceed to click ok and this brings up the SQL server Login
dialog box and the 'Use Trusted Connection' tick box is ticked. When I
untick this it allows me to enter the username and password I set up
under the SQL Server Authentication when creating the DSN. The ODBC
connection is now successful.
My question is, is it possible to have the 'Use Trusted Connection' not
ticked by default, then I would not get the original Connection Failed
Error.
Many thanks for any help,
Sara
