Hi,

My clients have problem to connect to the OLAP server with
IIS running, using browser and Ms Excel PivotTable.
Not all the clients but some of them.
Following steps are what i have done :
- SQL Server 2000 Std Edition (5-clients license) on Win
2k Server, IIS Running. It has been configured as a Domain
Controller.
- Designed webpage (using Ms Frontpage) with PivotTable
and connect to SQL OLAP cube and published for users
access, with Win2k security
The problem is some of the workstation managed to connect
this webpage but some are not.
For those who are not managed to connect the cube via
browser or Ms Excel PivotTable, they have error msg as
below :
" The PivotTable list 'Sales' could not connect to the
data source 'Sales'. For information about the data
source, consult the creator of the file.
0x80004005 : Cannot connect to server 'server1' "

I am wondering if it's licensing problem or security
authentication problem.

Appreciated for any help. thanks

Sook Kueen
