Hi,
We have 2 MS-SQL 2000 servers in two different location, one is on our DMZ
and the other one is located at our hosting provider (cluster server),
my problem is when our developers try to do an update from the DMZ to the
cluster server we get the error:
Updating remote XXXXX table. Wait...
Server: Msg 7391, Level 16, State 1, Procedure XXXXUpdate, Line 11
The operation could not be performed because the OLE DB provider 'SQLOLEDB'
was unable to begin a distributed transaction.
I have looked into our firewall logs (checkpoint) and saw that the cluster
server is trying to send packages back to the SQL in the DMZ to port #
1025?!?
I have open this port for testing and it worked well, I don't like to leave
this port open cause I don't know why it's using this port and this is not
recognized port for MS-SQL
Can anyone explain why it's using this port and if I can change it?
(PS:I'm not expert in MS-SQL so please try to make it simple for me :-)
Thanks.
