Can Slammer affect the database servers even if UDP 1434 port is blocked

Hi,
We didn't apply SP3 on our production boxes as we need to
do some testing before going production.
Also As it is written on the website that if UDP port 1434
is blocked at firewall , the virus will not affect the
database. Plus I have configured SQL Server on 1433 and
1435 not 1434. What are the posibilities of my database
still getting affected. It is Windows2000 and SQL 2000 SP2.
Please let me know this ASAP.
