sp_OACreate access

What is the most accepted method, in terms of security, for granting execute
permissions to sp_OACreate? I have added our user to the master database
and granted execute permissions, but I don't think this will be acceptable
to many of our clients.

Can sp_OACreate be executed if sql server access is based on NT Login?
