When you say "database", do you really mean the SQL Server instance? In
other words, you cannot connect to the local SQL Server instance running on
this computer, but you can connect to it from another computer? What is the
error message that you're seeing? Perhaps it's a permissions error and you
can either edit the registration properties or set up a new SQL Server
Registration within Enterprise Manager on the local computer.
