Hi Walt,
Thank you for your update.
Whether you need to add a login to SQL Server depends on whether you want
to use the login to connect to SQL Server. If you want to connect to SQL
Server with a specific login and it's not a SQL Server login yet, you need
to add it. I recommend that you use SQL authentication and sa login on both
local and remote server to see if you can successfully connect and export
data to remote server. This way, we can narrow down if it's a permission
problem.
