I am in the process of upgrading SQL Server 6.5 to SQL
Server 7.0. Having previously tested the upgrade on four
servers with no problems, I kicked off the upgrade on a
machine in production.

The upgrade wizard that converts 6.5 databases, has never
caused any problems until we hit production.

I am presented with the error "An error occurred while
trying to query @@servername on 'server_name'. Please make
sure this value of not null."

I have substituted the 'server_name' for the name of the
server. I can also confirm that @@servername is not null.

any assistance you can provide would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks

Gary.
