I have linked server to Access database on my SQL 2000
server (on Win 2000 serv.). The mdb file is on another
server (Win NT 4.0.). If I use sql login to connect to my
SQL 2000 server and query table from linked server
everything is ok. But if I use Windows Authentication
(domain\admin) I get: "Server: Msg 7399, Level 16, State
1, Line 1
OLE DB provider 'Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0' reported an
error.
[OLE/DB provider returned message: The Microsoft Jet
database engine
cannot open the file '\\x\mydb.mdb'. It is already opened
exclusively
by another user, or you need permission to view its data.]"
I have mapped local login to Admin login of my Access
database.
I know that this problem has been already mentioned on
this group but I haven't found solution for my problem.
Thanks,
Robert
