Cumulative Patches (for SQL Server)

Hello,

Does a Cumulative Patch (for SQL Server) always supersede
all Hotfixes released after the last Servicepack?

f.e.:

Does the new Cumulative Patch Q316333 for SQL Server 2000
mentioned in MS-061, which was the last Security Bulletin
for SQL Server, supersede all Patches after the
Servicepack 2 for SQL Server 2000 or do I have to apply
more???
