Hello...
How do you generate a certificate request for a SQL Server
SSL certificate WITHOUT having to install IIS or make a
request to a Microsoft Certificate Server?
We are not running Microsoft Cert Sever so none of the MMC
Cert plugin request will work. If I install all of IIS and
generate an SSL cert request like I am trying to setup a
SSL web server - that works until I go to import the SSL
cert and it won't go into the Personal cert store on the
SQL server.
There has got to be a way to generate a cert request for
VeriSign or whoever and get SSL to work on Microsoft SQL
2000 without installing IIS or MS-Cert.
Has anyone encountered this issue/problem before?
Thanks....Douglas
