Please limit the number of newsgroups that you post to at most two or three.
For example, I fail to see the relevance of the .replication newsgroup to
this post.
Is perhaps one (or both) of the servers configured for Windows
Authentication rather than Mixed Authentication?

When posting, inclusion of SQL (CREATE TABLE ..., INSERT ..., etc.) which
can be cut and pasted into Query Analyzer is appreciated.
