You are SO right! Show how LITTLE I know about security.

Since I "have you on the line", want to take a shot at this problem that I
posted on an Access newsgroup.

Thanks in advance... Larry Woods

==============================
I am using IIS 5.0 on my computer (Windows 2000 Server). I am accessing an
Access 2000 database. If I go in and do any work on the database directly;
i.e., open Access 2000 directly, then when I close the database I lose the
Internet User permission on the database. I reset it manually then
everything is fine as far as access through ASP pages, for example, UNTIL I
open the database again using Access 2000 directly. Then, the same problem
as above. Lose of the Internet User permission. This does NOT happen with
other file types such as .doc or .txt, therefore I have concluded (right or
wrong) that it is NOT Windows 2000 Server, but Access that is doing this.
Also, I have set the option on the file--and on all parent folders--that
states that permission inheritance is to be invoked.

Where/what do I change to get Access (?) to quit doing this!?!

Thanks.

Larry Woods
