Fabrizio,
Assuming you have purchased SQL Server 2000, just install it. After the
install, you can use the sp_attach_db system stored procedure to "link" your
existing databases to the new installed version of SQL Server.
Installing, or uninstalling, SQL Server does NOT remove or in any way damage
existing database files.
Documentation on the sp_attach_db system stored procedure is in the SQL
Server 2000 Books Online.

When posting, inclusion of SQL (CREATE TABLE ..., INSERT ..., etc.) which
can be cut and pasted into Query Analyzer is appreciated.
