hi !
We deploy our software on users system using MSDE and
during installation we attach databse using 'sp_attach_db'
and change the 'sa' password for login security. While
attaching databse we copy the data files (.mdf,.ldf) files
to user machines. BUt here we are concerned with the
security, as any of our competitors can grab a demo copy
and access the data file and view all the tables, stored
procedures, diagrams and all, using Enterprise manager. So
is there any way to protect those files or is it has to do
with licence policy of the software. If you guys have any
idea about this , please please mail me back its really
urgent and important.
Thanks a lot
Nandu
