I downloaded 3 critical updates earlier from Microsoft myself and still have
had problems such as this one mentioned but not that number. Even after
running Trend Micro cleaner about 3 times and Spybot at least 5 times since
this morning I was hoping to get out of the quagmire as I call it.

I downloaded 9 Critical Updates for my WinXPsp3 desktop and saw one
titled: KB 953838" which was Cumulative Security Update for
Internet Explorer 6 for Windows XP."
When I downloaded Critical Updates for my Vista sp1, I also noticed
a "KB 953838" Cum Update for IE7.
Is that possible? An update for IE6 and an update for IE7 with the
same KB 953838?
Afraid to just go look? ;-)
