Check your CAPS LOCK and NUM LOCKS settings. Windows passwords are case
sensative so they must be entered in the proper case. Also, if it is a
laptop computer, the NUM LOCK setting uses the uiopjkl;m./ keys. Makes sure
the numlock is off if you are using a laptop computer.

Thanks, Malke! I'll try this in the morning.
I'm sure it's not a password issue. Because I am forgetful, I keep a file
with all log-ins, support phone numbers, wireless codes, etc. I used to
ask when things like this happen, why-but I've given up trying to figure
some of this out....unless you might have a clue?
Since you've told me nothing about your computer, what changed between the
time things worked and the time they didn't, and what exactly happens
besides the nebulous "can't get in", no I don't have a clue. Answer some of
those questions and I might be able to give you a more focused solution.
In the meantime, use the technique(s) I already gave you and see if you can
get into the built-in Administrator account. See if you can get into your
regular account in Safe Mode. And/or try Last Known Good Configuration from
Safe Mode.
It is possible that your user account has been corrupted, but it is also
possible that you have hardware failure. There is simply no way for me to
know what's going on with your computer at this point.
