help: can't share files

I have two laptops connected with a crossover Ethernet cable. One laptop
has Windows XP SP2, the other Windows 98 SE. The XP computer can see and
retrieve files from the 98 computer, but the 98 computer cannot see files on
the XP computer, even though the XP computer appears in "Network
Neighborhood." When I try to access the XP computer, I get a message saying
"Toshibacurtis is not accessible" and "The computer or sharename could not
be found. Make sure you have typed it correctly and try again." What do I
need to do to make the XP computer visible to the 98 computer?
